Trail Report- 1/20/2025
It was a very busy weekend and we loved seeing all the snowmobiles on our trail system! Operator Kevin was out last night cleaning up Trail 105 from the weekend!
Unfortunately we are still in this weird pattern of daily "dustings" of snowfall and cold weather. What this means is our trails remain very thin in town and quite good up high east of the Drift Dusters Warming Hut.
We sound like a broken record but until we get a decent snowfall the trail conditions in the Derby area will remain yellow status, aka passable, but thin.
Best access into town is on Trail 105 but 105 A is open and passable.
Trail 2001 is still CLOSED South of Vt Route 111. There is no access to Island Pond via 2001Stay tuned for more changes over the weekend, we hope. Locals can travel NORTH ONLY from 5 Mi. Sq. Rd.
Grooming on Trail 5 to Charleston is on pause until we get more snow. The trail is open.
Trail 105 A-International Boundary: US Border Patrol Swanton Sector has added several boulders along the trail. Many people are "playfully" crossing back and forth and getting stuck on the Canadian side. Please stay on the US side. |
